Is there a limit on how many leads I can upload or store?

Whether there is a limit on how many leads I can upload or store, and where to find it.

Two different things often get confused here. There is no monthly upload limit.

Capacity is the number of campaign leads stored at one time, while credits pay for actions such as finding or verifying leads. Storing a lead does not itself consume a lead credit, and having unused credits does not increase capacity.

Your capacity depends on your plan:

  • Growth: up to 5,000 concurrent campaign leads per organization, counted across all configured campaign provider workspaces.
  • Other plans: provider-specific workspace capacity applies. This is often 25,000 leads per provider workspace, but the exact limit can vary by provider and plan.

What counts against capacity

Counts against the capDoesn't count against the cap
Leads attached to active campaignsLeads you've explicitly deleted after the deletion has reconciled
Leads still attached to finished campaignsContacts in the CRM (a separate store)
In-progress lead placements reserved by an uploadLeads in another organization
Bounced and unsubscribed leads still attached to a campaignNone

How to make room when you hit the cap

The cleanest approach is to explicitly delete leads from campaigns that are done. Growth does not automatically delete older leads to make room.

  1. Open the campaign you want to clear out → Leads tab.
  2. Select the leads you no longer need (all of them, if the campaign is finished).
  3. Click Delete.
  4. Export to CSV first if you want a record. Deletion is permanent.

Campaigns marked Campaign completed are usually the safest to clear if you are done with that original lead list. Completed campaigns can be resumed for new leads, but deleting old leads is permanent and those contacts will not be re-sent.

Capacity becomes available after Acquisity reconciles the deletion with the campaign provider.

Why the cap bites harder for some setups

  • Growth organizations with several campaign provider workspaces still share one 5,000-lead organization limit.
  • Organizations on provider-specific limits may have a separate allowance for each provider workspace.

If your upload is being rejected

Check the error message first. Common causes:

  • "Growth plan limit of 5,000 concurrent campaign leads" — the organization-wide Growth cap has been reached. The rejected upload does not charge credits or write leads to the campaign provider.
  • "Workspace is at capacity" — a provider-specific workspace cap has been reached. The exact allowance is often 25,000, but depends on the provider and plan.
  • "Duplicate leads skipped" — the upload succeeded; only the duplicates were filtered out. Duplicates are rejected workspace-wide.
  • "File too large" — CSV uploads are capped at 100MB and 20,000 rows per file. Split into smaller files.

Need help reconciling deleted leads?

Support can help investigate capacity that has not refreshed after deletion, but cannot raise the Growth plan's 5,000-lead organization limit case by case. Start a chat via Feedback in the bottom-left sidebar if deleted leads still appear to count.
